Sup folks! I’m a software engineer and describe myself as a generalist. I’m also a husband, father, and video game nerd. I spend my time taking care of family, coding, learning tech, and attempting to make time to play video games.
I’ve worked on video games most of my career and have bootstrapped many online projects from scratch with cloud backends. I spent the first ~14 years of my career at Blizzard Entertainment, where I worked on StarCraft: Ghost, World of Warcraft, and was on the 15 person shipping team for Hearthstone. Video games are a lifelong passion and that’s the reason I wanted to break into the game industry. Chrono Trigger is my all time favorite game and I’m a huge fighting game and action game fan. I try to go to EVO every year.
My wife also loves video games #blessed. Both myself and my daughter are diagnosed autistic. I was diagnosed at 37 years. She was diagnosed at 18 months. She is also nonverbal and was additionally diagnosed with ADHD. She will need lifelong help, so it is my mission in life to try to make sure she’s taken care of before I pass on. My other daughter is a sphynx cat. Cats are basically autistic too, if you really think about it. If you have cats and know autistic people, you’ll know what I mean.
